Daily Duties at Archbold Medical Center:
Worked in a 12 bed inpatient dialysis unit. Placed patients on dialysis machine and took them off the machines. Gave medications as ordered. Took vital signs every 10 minutes and had to be charted on their flow sheet. Provided education to the patients about how to maintain their dialysis access, nutrition, and medications. Performed peritoneal dialysis for those patients that took dialysis over night. Was ask to be a charge nurse after 6 months of working there. When I was charge in I was supervising 6 RN, 1 LPN, and 3 CNAs. Performed staff education during the staff meetings on medications, new techniques that are coming out. Called report to the floor after the client had dialysis and we transported the patient back to their room. Made the schedule for the unit.
