Archbold Medical Center Work Values

Daily Duties at Archbold Medical Center:

Monitored clients in the intermediate care unit 12 beds. Monitored clients EKGs and watched for any changes. Perform head to toe assessments every 4 hours. Maintain ventilator. Maintain airways either endotracheal tubes or tracheostomies, suctions as needed. Provide education to patient and families about medications and all treatments that they are receiving. Take care of patients that are postoperative from surgery. Made sure that continuity of care among the other departments such as radiology, lab were maintained. Was ask to be a charge nurse. As a charge nurse I had to do chart checks, and make sure staffing levels were appropriate for the next shift. Call the doctors in the middle of the night for any problems. Took care of all the pediatric patients that were admitted to the hospital. Addressed any needs that the patients might have such as being too cold or hot, needing personal hygiene items, wanting to make a phone call since these rooms did not have phones in them.
