Daily Duties at Qwest Communications:

Proposals, quotes and presentations. Quality assurance analysis - working with engineers and operations in supporting high profile business accounts. Technical support to Major accounts. Escalate and difuse outages. Strong internal relationships allowed me ability to work closely with Sr techs, VP of Operations. Regional position without local support. I worked in San Diego, while my Manager was located in Orange County. As a dedicated professional I required little direction or supervision. I took responsibility for each account, built strong relationships. In order to grow accounts, it is my belief to understand their business first and ask questions. My customers had a sense of my strong interest in their success. Churn was below 1%. Renewals were 96%. Support sales team for new business quotes. Adding new logos to the market required the added value of Account Retention Manager locally rather than in a call center. Joint meetings with customer and our Sales team provided that value. Continued Education was mandatory with a score of 90%. My scores for product and service training, business training, sales improvement skills exceeded the required scores.

What they like about Qwest Communications:

A hiring company that offers alternative approaches to pay, performance bonuses, and/or equity in the firm is very attractive to you. You're generally less interested in working for an organization offering only traditional, salary-based compensation, one with limited opportunity to acquire equity in the firm, or one that does not actively promote skill development. In addition, you are more likely to choose a company that offers a variety of internal career options, with defined career paths. You view the learning of new skills and development of your expertise as key to your career advancement. These aspects of an organization may become even more important to you as you progress in your field, and are especially critical if you change career or occupation.
