Daily Duties at Home Depot:

During my employment with the Home Depot, I applied and developed oral communication skills in an attempt to advance the company towards its goals. To help the company to achieve sales goals, I established and maintained positive rapports with the customers by providing them with excellent customer service. My dedication towards providing excellent customer service was recognized eight times with customer service awards. To make suggestions of products helpful to customers on their projects and to increase sales in the department, I improved my product knowledge by taking computer-based training courses and by attending work-related trainings. To assist the customer, I maintained knowledge of products in the store, provided technical advice related to customer inquiries, and computed mathematical equations for linear footage, area, volume, and proportions to suggest the right amount of product for the customer. I also assisted the customer by performing inventory duties and by checking on the availability of sold-out items at other stores. I ensured a safe work environment by performing safety checks of the overheads.
