➢ Conducted pipeline design and sizing; developed hydraulic models using WaterCAD to provide sufficient water flow and pressure while minimizing pipeline costs. ➢ Led utility routing / mapping projects; established layout of backup power lines for Orange County Sanitation District, which saved Client thousands of dollars. Also mapped all water utility lines of Barona Indian Reservation to facilitate a single quality system data record that will increase long-term savings. ➢ Designed water distribution systems; established pumping and piping requirements for resort / community projects. Worked with land plan to establish efficient and cost effective system layout. ➢ Worked on design of sewer lift stations; utilized historical sewer inflow data to establish lift station volume. Designed pumping system functions / assembly, and connection to Water Reclamation Facility. ➢ Compiled Equipment information for wastewater treatment plants; cataloged equipment component list and specifications for entire WWTP’s design process. Also drafted key design details for contractors. Conducted QA & QC to ensure details matched mechanical plans. ➢ Performed water quality sampling for 12 outlets per week to ensure water treatment plant met cleanliness standards. Submitted results to EPA. ➢ Monitored water treatment plant operation; observed SCADA system to monitor operations and set system to perform backwash when necessary. Loaded salts to inflow bin to treat water hardness.
