Daily Duties at Hegele Logistic, Llc.:

•Monitor and direct the daily activities of fleet and administrative operations •Plan work assignments and equipment allocations in order to meet transportation and operational goals •Participate in interviews; train, motivate and counsel (manage) drivers •Monitor staff performance to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, safety rules and government regulations •Dispatch drivers and ensure that products are picked up and delivered on time and in a cost effective manner (select outsourced trucking vendor where appropriate); assign routes and schedules fairly and equitably •Responsible for interaction with outsourced transportation companies; order services, prepare pick-up and delivery orders, request purchase orders •Account for pertinent equipment, tools and documents including keys, manifests, route related documents, work sheets; verity completeness and accuracy •Maintain, verify and approve records of time, expenditures, and crew activities; maintain transportation records for the company •Manage fleet maintenance program and maintain compliance with DOT requirements; ensure regular inspections of vehicles and equipment; schedule repairs and preventative maintenance of vehicles and other equipment as necessary .Maintain compliance with truck licenses and city stickers, and DOT and IDOT requirements where necessary.
