Daily Duties at Compu Pros:
Member of the Fortis Insurance Y2k team. Responsible for all facets of Y2k analysis, renovation and Manual Unit Testing. Modified code for COBOL, EZTREVE, FOCUS, and PERL programs. Renovated and successfully placed over 124 systems back into production during 30 months of this project. The COBOL systems consisted of DB2, CICS, and IMS programs. Assessed program modules and copybooks for compliancy, and renovated using the date expansion method to accept an 8-digit date. Responsible for writing new COBOL modules to convert the input data to the appropriate format for the conversion. Upon completion of the system renovation, the programming team provided unit testing before passing the system to the Q/A department for system testing. Traveled to the customer site for implementation and initial support of the system. Member of the RECON Team responsible for new development of a small CICS system to reconcile any differences between the number of systems/modules renovated and the number of systems/modules residing in production Endevor.
