Daily Duties at Defense Acquisition University:
: Presented program management and financial management acquisition certification curriculum for Department of Defense program and financial managers. Taught beginners, journeyman, and experienced personnel on the DoD acquisition life cycle from initiation through disposal. Also taught earned value management, schedule techniques and risk assessments, contract change procedures and impacts, budgeting and cost estimating processes/techniques; and risk management. Specifically taught Intermediate Earned Value Management; EVMS Validation and Surveillance (based on 32 ANSI-EIA-748 standards); and Principles of Schedule Management. Consulted with Department of Defense organizations to resolve issues and to develop organization-specific solutions for scheduling, earned value management (EVM), Integrated Baseline Reviews and Item Unique Identification. Training included information and hands-on exercises for work authorizations, evaluating cost structures, scheduling development and maintenance, budgeting, subcontractor management, and schedule risk assessments. Demonstrated ability to work independently as an analyst, project team lead, or cooperatively as part of a team to meet organizational objectives. Experience with Microsoft Project, Risk Plus and wInsight tools.
