Daily Duties at Dec/Compa/Hp:

Security Specialist/Project Manager Knowledge and experience with IT Security, proficient with Information Assurance Federal Security Regulations. -Develop and implement comprehensive solutions to internal/external and telecommunication threats on the VMS/OPENVMS platform. -Manage and perform threat identification and assessment, consequence management, training and support management on the VMS/OPENVMS platform. -Identify and implement threat reduction measures including plans, policies and procedures; risk management, planning; physical and cyber security; business continuity planning. Including Intruder alert and LAN/WAN Security. -Manage consequence activities including COOP (Continuity of Operations)/disaster recovery, restoration of operation, economic impact, logistics management, and information recovery. -Implement training and performance support with emphasis on monitoring and measuring performance, implementing lessons learned, enforcing standards, provide training and test scenarios, and call/contact center operations, supporting OpenVMS V8.3 and MUMPS Cache’ V5.0.18. -Develop and participate in Certification/Accreditation activities, including performing System Test and Evaluations. (ST&E), Reporting. - Educate organization and drive Congressional compliance with HIPAA, N.I.S.T 800-053a, VA/VHA, Corporate Integrity and Compliance Program policies. -manage a software development team in a Java/J2ee environment using web-based BEA WebLogic application server front end tools and Oracle 9i, 10g database Systems Management System installation of OPENVMS V8-3 DECnet Plus and Fibrechannel on ALPHA ES40/45. System support on UCX and Multinet TCP/IP, SAN, CACHE’, Performance evaluation via POLYCENTER, EMC Control Center and Database tuner, DSM, ROBOMON, RoboCentral and RAXMASTER. Implementation of performance upgrades, RDB, Oracle systems level management, Manage lab environment printers, logicals etc via IDX; troubleshoot via IDX (SecureID), data management via HSZ Raid Arrays, TZ robotic systems and SLS. Contract due diligence and customer relations.
