Daily Duties at Smith Conatiner Corporation:
I manage a regional warehouse hub operation and nine district locations with a combined square footage in excess of 300,000 square feet. I directed all operations pertaining to training, safety, maintenance, shipping and receiving, inventory, and storage activities. I insured that all customers’ expectations were completely satisfied. Trained and certified forklift drivers. Encompass a working knowledge of General Freight Tariffs, Department of Transportation Weight Regulations, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration. I prepared strategic plans and annual budgets. These budgets were over ($1,700,000). I coordinated all these areas during changing demands in order for these operations to achieve defined goals. I have a strong working knowledge of warehouse layouts. This knowledge contributed to the facilities efficiencies with respect to space utilization and selection productivity. Understand the cost of space, by using innovative material handling, and storage equipment to maximize cube utilization. Manage 1000-sku fixed locator system.
