Daily Duties at Inviva Insurance:

• Involved in technical design/development/changes for rider processing, policy establishment, commission calculations & adjustments, agent changes, calculation of death benefits, cash values, claim processing, and re-insurance. • Extensively involved with on-line UI designs using forms and Coldfusion page development, programming and batch processing (3-tier architecture). • Extensively involved in data modeling, database design, database development, application development and testing and implementation. • Developed and tested customized packages, stored procedures, functions, various types of cursors of very huge size to implement different business logic and rules using the sequence diagrams. • Implemented objected oriented technology such as overloading, encapsulation using Oracle stored packages. • Used schedulers to schedule the programs. • Developed/modified web screens using Coldfusion technology and tested for the appropriate functionality. • Developed complicated queries and views tuned using SQL Lab Tuner and debugged using Compuware Debugger. • Involved in interfacing with external systems, using SQL*Loader. • Involved in migration strategy from assembly phase to system integration phase to quality assurance phase to production. • Modified various existing forms to enhance the functionality and to fix existing bugs. • Used PVCS version manager as repository and Lotus Notes Groupware to track the bugs in system integration and quality assurance and production phases. • Involved in beeper support resolving production support issues from time to time.
