Worked on NASA’s Earth Observing System (EOS) Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) satellite project. Provided programming support to senior scientists to implement science algorithms. Assisted in creating analysis tools and software library functions for the analysis, visualization, and data reduction to support programming and analysis. Was responsible for assisting programmers/analysts in IDL programming language and familiarizing analysts with computer systems. Performed data analysis and computer modeling for climate research, with emphasis in image processing and 3D surface renderings of satellite data written using high-level languages and IDL object-oriented graphics language. Developed software for the processing and compositing of satellite data sets and management of tape library data results.
