Daily Duties at Northrop Grumman Corporation:
Lead Property Administrator providing guidance and mentorship to new hires and less experienced Property Administrators on proper management of government and customer assets to include all types of real and personal property from cradle to grave, with particular emphasis on agency peculiar property, special test equipment and facilities. Key member of Corporate Property Council, responsible for setting industry property management standards, developing and implementing corporate-wide training, and working collaboratively with DCMA other government agencies in reviewing and recommending revisions to FAR, ASTM and customer requirements. Serve as focal point for customer audits and Program Management Reviews as it relates to property management and contract compliance. Review and revise internal procedures to adjust to changes mandated by DCMA and other government entities. Oversee two union employees in completing assigned tasks and reporting results to upper level management. Serve as subject matter expert relative to contract compliance and successful program management and provide presentations to upper level management and customers on status of property management initiatives and directives. Manage and track government assets and ensure property financial and inventory reporting of assets in-country and abroad. Customer focal point for sell-off of government assets as well as quick and problem-free asset deployment in support of national defense. Responsible for training Program Managers and their property custodians on asset management, contract requirements and logistical requirements relative to storage, usage and deployment. Perform facility and maintenance audits to assure security and safety initiatives are adhered to, as well as DCMA procedural compliance. Maintain government system approval of Property Management System covering $158M in assets on classified programs in-house. Serve as the point of contact and program interface for audits and assessments by various customers. Recommend corrective actions, where warranted, and follow-up to ensure that actions are documented and completed. Provide status briefings to executive management on corrective action plan status and resolution. Provide leadership and guidance for Property, Logistics and Program personnel to ensure shipping, receiving and storage activities are coordinated in a timely and cost-effective manner. Create and implement training curriculum on Property and Contracts Management. Provide classroom and Net-Meeting training corporate-wide.. Also responsible for assessing policies and procedures of Property and Logistics Departments outside of the sector to determine if flaws exist and suggest areas requiring immediate improvement to allow for successful audit outcomes and follow-up on any corrective actions that were mandated.
