Daily Duties at Wayne State University:
• Evaluate therapeutic effects of garcinol on human pancreatic cancer (PaCa) cells and its mechanistic effect on various cancer signaling pathways using several Fluorokine and Quantikine ELISA assay, Fluorescence microscopy, Flow cytometric analysis, Western immunoblotting and EMSA • Successfully evaluated effect of dietary interactions between curcumin and garcinol on PaCa cells to evaluate synergistic outcomes using isobologram analysis based on mathematical algorithms • Designed study to evaluate chemosensitization effects of garcinol on gemcitabine treatment from multiple view points and report its overall synergistic efficacy • Design studies to mechanistically investigate the microRNA targets deregulated in PaCa and effect upon treatment, enhancing therapeutic outcomes, using advanced molecular biology techniques including RNA isolations, Microarray analysis, Real Time RT-PCR, and MicroRNA Target analysis
