Daily Duties at Collins & Aikman:
•Managed the administration and labor relations of a 900 member hourly workforce at 4 locations. •Directed corporate manning activities for 3 large business units. Supervised 5 direct reports. •Developed and implemented QS 9000 and ISO 14001 facilitator training programs, which culminated in semi-annual recertification of all departments. •Created and managed a Corrective Action Program that reduced absenteeism by 15%. •Conducted annual local area pay surveys to ensure employees were being paid equitably. •Conducted Human Resource audits for other plant locations. •Devised, fielded and directed a corporate supervisor training program that ensured all key managers were in compliance with corporate and federal guidelines. •Implemented recruiting techniques that reduced interview to offer ratio by 1/3. •Managed the conversion of the ADP Human Resources System to PeopleSoft, then to Infinium.
