Daily Duties at United States Army:
I performed elementary and advanced blood banking laboratory procedures. I collected blood specimens and blood donations by venipuncture and capillary puncture. I packed, unpacked, inspected, stored and distributed over 120,000 units of blood and blood products in Bahrain, and Iraq. I collected platelets by apheresis in the Theater of Iraq as well as in the Fort Bragg Blood Donor Center. I was responsible for the training of new personnel in the areas of shipping, receiving, storage, and collecting of blood and blood products.
