Daily Duties at Roymal Inc:

Starting out of college,developed new accounts for Roymal's water base coatings by making numerous cold calls and new contacts resulting in significant new business throughout my career. Have extensive experience planning, conducting and evaluating in-plant coating trials on all major brands of commercial offset, flexographic and rotogravure printing equipment and specialty application methods for barrier coatings to replace polyethylene. Developed and managed multiple Animal Food Bag Packaging Accounts in US market from zero market penetration to over $2,000,000.00 in annual sales. Managed multi-facility National Accounts in USA. Worked with application cylinder manufacturers in USA to learn the reasons for application problems encountered using certain cylinders. With the revised cylinder recommendations, our customers were able to increase their overall quality using 30% less coating and improve physical test results. Customer support initiatives such as this example of employing the newest cylinder technology, resulted in an annual sales increase of $250,000.00. Maintained and grew business at Roymal's house accounts in the northeast calling on both upper management and plant personnel. Coordinated and set pricing at multiple plant facilities 1982-1990: Roymal, Inc.-Newport, NH Assistant to President - Worldwide Marketing Working with the President and founder of Roymal, developed marketing strategies for Roymal's future growth both on a domestic and international basis. This included spending six-eight months of the year traveling, overseas and domestically. Overseas, analyzed and performed market feasibility studies for Roymal products by traveling to Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Philippines. Supported regional sales efforts and supervised application trials with overseas agents. Worked with, motivated and supervised salespeople in Europe, Asia, South Africa, and South Pacific markets. The Asian market sales started off from zero and grew to $ 2,500,000. The Australian/ New Zealand markets started off from zero and grew to over $ 1,000.000. in annual sales. Met with and negotiated terms with distributors and potential new agents in all market segments. Handled the administrative side of selling Roymal products in those markets.
