Daily Duties at State Of Wyoming Retirement System:

Maintained general ledger for nine separate pension plans using the accrual basis of accounting for assets totaling over $7 billion. Reconciled cash and other balance sheet accounts to the State's financial system and investment manager records. Transferred funds from the master custodian to investment managers and to the State Treasurer accounts. Authorized cash transfers and investment account transactions. Calculated and allocated expenditures between pension plans for investment fees, bank fees, interest accrued, capital gains, administrative costs, and any other expenditures needing allocated between plans. Responsible for entering payments into the State's accounting system and payroll system. Provided analysis and projections for the preparation of the bi-annual budget. Reviewed and prepared accounting and budgetary documents and monitored account balances. Responsible for the payroll and human resources functions, including the addition of new employees, entering all payroll information, and conformance with the allotted budgetary amounts. Responsible for the collection and preparation of financial data for the annual audit. Responsible for all purchases for the organization. Responsible for preparing the annual CAFR. Served as Security Liaison back-up. Researched investments and assisted in setting up new and terminating prior investment manager accounts.
