Prepare final audit reports for the WRS Audit Committee and management. Provide consulting services to WRS management and staff by conducting research to answer questions brought from management and the Board on IRS regulations, conformance with prescribed laws, rules and regulations. Research and report on efficiencies, internal controls, and recommend opportunities for improvement. Create and update Internal Audit Procedure Manual. Ensure the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) meets standards to receive the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA).
