Daily Duties at Dc Department Of Parks And Recreation:

· Serve as liaise between the DC Dept. of Parks and Rec. and the Summer Meal Program. · Provide administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit. · Ensure that sites operate in accordance with the USDA requirements, while maintaining the excellence and integrity of documentation involved in all site visits · Conduct pre-operational visits for new and problem sites. · Conduct and observe site training, including training and explaining guidelines of the nondiscrimination policy and procedures, involved in the process of via instructional presentations and weekly assessment · Inspected all assigned sites within the first week of operation to ensure that the food service could operate smoothly. · Work with management teams to ensure that training and daily visits causes minimal office disruption ·Observed, analyzed, extracted, and compiled the necessary changes to the Free Summer Meal Program point of service. · Collected daily meal count forms from the Summer Meal Program sites. · Perform the administrative and human supply management functions relative to the staff supervised. Established guidelines and performance expectation for staff members, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system. Observe worker's performance; demonstrates and conducts work performance critiques. Provided informal feedback and periodically evaluates employee performance. Resolves informal complaints and grievances. · Provide quality Customer service · Develops work improvement plans, recommending personnel actions as necessary. Provides advice and counsel to workers related to work and administrative matters. Effects disciplinary measures as appropriate to the authority delegated in this area. Assures that subordinates are trained and fully comply with the provisions of the safety regulations.
