Daily Duties at Ucla Medical Center:

Completed clinical rotations in general Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, Radiopharmacy, Nuclear Cardiology, and Pediatric Nuclear Medicine. Experienced in operating various gamma cameras and processing: Seimens Ecam, Seimens Symbian SPECT/CT.  Performed various aspects of quality control of gamma cameras and related equipment.  Performed daily quality control on the Dose calibrator, receiving and storing the unit doses that arrived from the Radiopharmacy. Accurately and safely prepare routine radiopharmaceuticals kits and dispense single dose syringes to be administered to patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.  Performed and monitor the full range of specialized tests and studies according to established protocols such as Cardiac, Renal scan, Thyroid uptake & scan, Bone scan, and other clinical studies.  Competently perform various aspects of venipuncture, including insertion of Angiocatheters and pump assisted infusions.  Experienced in patient care, such as procedure explanation, patient consent, and monitoring patient’s well being
