Daily Duties at Defense Technical Information Center:

Defense Technical Information Center FT. Belvoir, VA 1992to 2004 As a system analyst I supported accounting and personnel processes, using systematic approaches for implementation of management information system. I reported to supervisor and Senior Agency Management which involved identifying and developing strategic emerging technologies in knowledge management for the internal and external customer. • Initiated and formulated annual Strategic Plan, conducted profit and loss program analysis, developed and managed program plans, budget, and measured performance results • Provided project management for all Directorate server installation including all capacity planning and performance tuning. Performed trouble-shooting analysis and system Administration • Lead a development and implementation team for the Defense Technical Information Center Intranet/Portal Knowledge Management System. • Developed the taxonomy for content manager and did training services. • Deployed Portal: system documentation, policies, operating procedures, requirements, and system engineering management plan for end-users (agency wide) • Provided Liaison services between end-users and programmers in developing portlets/applications for portal; Prepared integration plans and software requirements specification. • Performed lifecycle/cost analysis and devised project pursuit strategies and document review processes using knowledge management and system engineering tools and processes. • Evaluated contractor performance and engineering approaches for technical adequacy involving network/hardware software configurations. • Identified and prioritized Defense Technical Information Center business process for review; developed recommendation to improve business processes effectiveness and efficiency • Converted manual accounting system to efficient computerized enterprise system beneficial to the entire agency.
