Daily Duties at C Company, 2 23 In, 4 Bde, 2:
Planned, resourced, and conducted continuous operations while deployed to Iraq for 14 months from 2007-2008. Conducted successful counter insurgency in rural Iraq, providing security and support for a farming community of 5000 people. Worked constantly with local government and Iraqi Security Forces to provide combined and coordinated actions to disrupt and defeat the insurgents attempting to terrorize the community. Conducted direct combat actions with Iraqi allies to secure rural farmlands and force insurgents to leave the area. Worked with many government agencies to support extensive infrastructure improvement programs to increase the quaility of life for the local people.
