Daily Duties at Subway World Headquarters:
Develop concept, design and construction drawings for new construction and remodels of hundreds of Subway franchise stores across the world incorporating company specific standards, code and building guidelines. Collaborated with build consultants, engineers, architects and franchise owners on technical detail and design concepts. Successfully completed three to four projects daily, dealing with complex issues under strict deadlines. Guided and supported other designers with their workloads in order to keep up with project turnaround times. Produced designs according to appropriate country guidelines, utilizing metric system as needed and incorporating relevant building codes in countries such as Dubai and the United Arab Emirates. Collaborated with architects on Subway requirements and with ADA laws to keep in compliance with the IBC and ICC/ANSI 117.1-2003 codes. Skillfully interpreted redline drawings from architects, prepared complex final drawings to complete the drafting process.
