Daily Duties at Mirant Mid Atlantic:

• Managed staff of 12 technicians, ensured a competent and motivated staff by administrating a timely training and qualification program, conducting candid Performance Appraisals and providing leadership to ensure quality work and a highly motivated work force. • Contributed to an effective safety program by promoting a safety conscious attitude on the part of all employees, ensuring that safe work practices are followed, and that a safe and clean work environment is maintained. • Planned, schedule maintenance activities (Preventive, Predictive, Corrective and Outage) in Primavera, Microsoft Project and managed electrical, instrumentation, relays, and breakers, transformer and controls maintenance backlogs with Maximo. • Coordinated the electrical, instrumentation and controls outage activities In Primavera including tagging, testing, upgrading, modifications, and restoration. • Provided coordination between the Electric and Controls (E&C) Shop and all other resource areas of the plant, such as Operations, Procurement, Planning, Fuel & Ash, Combustion Turbine and contractor support groups. • Prepared Operation and Maintenance (O&M) and Capital budgets as they relate to the E&C area of responsibility. Prepare outage cost and schedule networks. Monitor and report variances on a regular basis. • Supported the plant enhancement of Switchyard Upgrades in 230kv Yard (Replacement of Three Station Feeder Transformers and The Retrofits of Main ISO-PHASE Busswork • Wrote bid specifications, proposals for contracts • Initiated testing of all Medium Voltage Breakers and Protective Relay Testing • Analyzed and resolved interface and I/O ports and software issues for DCS Conversion on new Foxboro Install.
