Daily Duties at Pilot Plant North Dakota State University:

• Monitored and controlled pilot scale biodiesel production processes • Developed Standard Operating Procedures of following pilot scale equipment: o Evaporator, Spray dryer, Screw Press, Double pipe heat exchanger, Z-mill, Vacuum chamber, Flex seed dehuller, Methane recovery distillation column • Supervised student researchers in setting up the processing experiments and analytical quality testing • Developed and modified process formulations and new methods to improve product yield and byproduct recoveries • Performed analytic Quality Control testing using NIR, FT-IR, HPLC, Accelerated Solvent Extraction and GC • Prepared lab reports, flow charts and log sheets in an organized and timely manner
