Daily Duties at Chiquita:
Management of $200 mill multi-plant spend in strategic packaging and condiments. Direct all strategic aspects of supplier relations including contracts, pricing, quality and logistics. Initiate national vendor selection, qualification, and provide consistency of product, pricing, quality, and delivery on a national basis for tactical procurement Accountable for performance to budget, national vendor contract process, national vendor development, Sarbanes Oxley compliance and performance of supply base. Assures support of Business Development and Innovations with new packaging, condiment development and new packaging solutions. Provide marketing intelligence to control costs and anticipate trends to corporate budgets. Direct national cost savings projects and cost control strategies and their implementation. Implementation of strategic and tactical procurement plans which provide the best total cost/value relationship. Wrote and manage custom database tools for management of supply, quality and service.
