Daily Duties at Sps Commerce:
Hunter oriented position chartered to identify opportunities among small, medium and large retail companies for supply chain improvement through EDI enablement and outsourcing services. Complete sales cycle including contact at SVP and C-level executives (typically business users, not IT organization), development of detailed proposals including business impact, ROI, internal resources required and costing, WEBEX demos, negotiations and closing sale. In first 12 months closed three substantial pieces of business (for a Fortune 500 company as well as 2 mid tier retailers) in a sales cycle that typically takes 18-24 months. These sales represented the addition of 800 business partners. Major Highlights: • Hunter oriented position • Identified prospect base in territory that had not been worked for 2+ years • Classified prospects in A, .B, C order based on opportunity • Established executive contacts within business area of target prospects • Closed 3 opportunities after following full sales cycle. Sales cycle typically takes 18-24 months; I closed these opportunities in less than 12.
