Daily Duties at Health Food Associates (Akins Natural Foods):
• Generate, place and track orders for chain of 13 stores and warehouse • Maintain vendor relations regarding PO status and product information • Research and request all products and information for new product consideration • Clearance/transfer/donate all rejected products • Research special orders per customer request and online mail orders • Coordinate sales PO’s to be consolidated to main stores and warehouse • Training of all new purchasing analysts and buyer’s assistants • Maintain vendor agreements & ad contracts • Compile and review all reports from Purchasing Analysts to submit to Purchasing Director • Compile and analyze various other reports for purchasing department • Field calls from stores regarding various product and receiving issues • Review/approve orders being placed by other Purchasing Analysts • Participate in ongoing Total Nutrition Training program
