Daily Duties at Interline Brands (Amsan Central Purchasing/Shared Services):
• Replenishment of inventory for 45 plus, Janitorial Supply distribution warehouses across the country. • Responsible for purchasing from various vendors and balancing inventory for optimal turns and service levels. • Responsible for keeping inventory down throughout the year across the whole country (approx 25M companywide) by returning, transferring or promoting dead and over stock, with an extra large push at the end of the year to reduce inventory. • Research and resourcing for Special Orders. • Travel to newly acquired warehouses to help implement and train on new system conversions. • Train new analysts on software and procedures. • Train existing employees to enhance computer skills to allow for more efficiency in daily duties. • Develop and run reports to distribute daily to purchasing and sales. Heavily use Excel for these once information is extracted. • Work with Customer Service to resolve expediting issues and providing customers with up to date status. • Work at Developing relationships with vendors and maintaining costs. • Work with Accounting and Warehouse to solve invoicing and receiving discrepancies and OS&D's. • Assigned to certain Branches to be their Key Liaison to purchasing, working with the sales managers and their team.
