Daily Duties at Sharp Healthcare:
Lead the department’s Best Practice Committee which is a team dedicated to designing and implementing process improvements as well as identifying and researching industry trends and topics for department consideration.Create and meet specific goals, objectives, and deadlines and providing regular progress reports to leadership. Work collaboratively with peers on various special projects including recruitment initiatives aimed at recapturing the interest of former RN applicants. Successfully completed Six Sigma training focused on deliberate process improvement methods to be adopted within the organization. Participate as a Subject Matter Expert during mock interviews for youth involved in the local Junior Achievement program. Disseminated advice and guidance related to career paths in healthcare. Initial point of contact for the recruitment of clerical and administrative professionals for the entire Sharp Healthcare system which includes: four acute-care hospitals, three specialty hospitals, three affiliated medical groups and other facilities throughout San Diego. Partner with hiring managers to create effective and engaging job descriptions that attract quality candidates. Advise management on the hiring and selection process and conducted on site visits to familiarize myself with the day-to-day functions of the department and their specific needs. Utilize Smart Search to generate open requisition reports as well as to review and process a high volume of online applications and resumes. Represent and promote Sharp Healthcare as an employer of choice at college recruitment events, career fairs and professional association conventions. Active member of the San Diego Healthcare Recruiters Association, which discusses topics that specifically affect recruiters in the industry.
