Responsible for collection of 1600 delinquent national accounts; maintained weekly correspondence with delinquent customers; negotiated payment plans and resolved discrepancies with customer accounts. Initiated recommendations to suspend credit; communicated customer status to center teams and business development; processed special collection efforts dealing with court cases and bad debt accounts. Worked with Loss Prevention and outside collections agencies on problem accounts; verified and processed bankruptcies on uncollectible accounts and trained new employees on credit system.
