Daily Duties at Bax Engineering Company, Inc.:

Project layout, design and plan preparation for commercial, churches, schools and various residential developments (single-family, villas, condominiums, and apartment living). Provided all layout work, plan preparation and drafting, including Site/Grading plans, Street/Sewer Profiles, Road Improvements, all Construction Details and Drainage Area Maps. Performing all necessary storm water calculations (ie: pipe hydraulics and channel) utilizing various hydraulic software. Storm water detention responsibilities were to perform calculations using various programs as required by the municipality, Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District or County. Responsibilities include following ordinances and guidelines of governing bodies, attending meetings and reviewing construction plans for submittals. Responsibilities were to manage all projects from conceptual through to construction. When necessary, performing presentations along with the client to the municipalities and counties for various levels of government approvals. Became involved with many U.S. Army Corp of Engineers’ issues with wetlands (mitigation issues) and jurisdictional waterways. Attending many seminars for sediment & erosion control, jurisdictional waterways, piping manufacturers, and MDNR issues were required by the company
