Managed month-end/year end close and financial statement preparation. Analyzed balance sheets, P&L, cash flows, and budget variances. Assisted senior management to resolve variances. Ensured compliance with GAAP and FASB requirements. Oversaw external audit process and provided all necessary worksheets/data to minimize billable hours. Monitored budgets for the various projects funded by Federal, State and City government. Supervised and directed AP, AR, payroll and day to day financial operations. Established and maintained the agency’s automated accounting systems. Oversaw cash management and prepared annual budgets for departments or grants and compare budgets to actual results on a regular basis. Supervised the financial reporting and vouchering to the Governmental funding agencies. Ensured organizational compliance with all regulatory tax filing and audit requirements, and served as primary liaison with outside accounting firm for annual audit. Managed the annual agency wide audit, A-133 reporting and audits from the Governmental funding agencies. Well versed with MIP nonprofit accounting software. Developed and maintained operating procedures manual to assure integrity and compliance with financial controls of all accounting functions.
