Daily Duties at Advance Pcs (Formerly Pcs Health Systems):

SR. PROGRAMMER / ANALYST (Rebate System) Supported rebates systems in COBOL/DB2/IMS/VSAM environment utilizing all of the pertinent tools including, but not limited to, Change Man, Info Man, File Aid, Viasoft, MVS/JCL, IBM UTILITIES, SAR & JobTrac. Full System Development Lifecycle utilized. Responsible for batch production process via on-call for 50% of the year. Heavy end user interaction. · Assisted in the integration of the payments system resulting in reduced personnel operating costs. · Invoiced over $120 million per quarter. · Produced training documentation for new hires in systems and programming Tools used to perform the above tasks included but were not limited to: · COBOL, DB2, VSAM, EDI- Network Data Mover & TCP-IP, IBM UTILITIES, JCL, ISPF, TSO, SAR, JobTrac, File Aid, Viasoft, Change Man/Info Man, IBM Utilities, Windows NT SR. PROGRAMMER / ANALYST (Finance System) Performed all duties necessary to support Financial reporting systems in COBOL/VSAM/light IMS environment utilizing Change Man, Info Man, File Aid, Viasoft, MVS/JCL, IBM UTILITIES, SAR & JobTrac. Full System Development Lifecycle. Worked directly with user community · Created, maintained and installed Electronic Data Interfaces utilizing Network Data Mover & TCP/IP. · Analyzed and corrected production abends in MVS/JCL, COBOL II, VSAM environment · Created film for training of Production Support team
