Swanke Hayden Connell, Architects New York City NY US 8/1984 - 5/1990 Senior Technical Coordinator Level 4 of 5 (Project Architect) American Express/Sherson: Main Trading Floors for over 2300 traders, Trading Computer Room, Training and Auditorium Floor, Executive Office Floor and Corporate Boardroom, Dining and Private Dining Floor. These projects took place over a four year period and were the main feature of two Interiors Magazines. In addition to my work as Project Architect for all the above projects I also assumed Project Manager responsibly for these projects after the death of two Project Managers. My staff includes typically two architects, two manual draftsmen and three or computer draftsmen in shifts. I also directed shop millwork shop drawing production for the executive spaces at the millwork shop. RJR/Nabisco Corporate Headquarters, Atlanta, Based on the success of the American Express Project I was assigned put this project back on track. The Boardroom was a special challenge as the floor to roof height was that of a typical office floor. In the second phase of the project (7 Floors) I developed less costly compatible design features. Delmonte Corporate Headquarters: Six months start to must move in deadline. The Main Corporate Floor in what was originally intended to be a The Grand Ballroom of a hotel, featured Stone floors, fountains, multi-story arched ceilings and a spiral concrete connecting stair with ornamental wrought iron railings to match the custom chandeliers. I had up to 6 highly experienced staff. Coordination with engineers to provide incorporate HVAC and feature lighting was a main component of all of the above projects. Design of the Swanke Hayden Connell Office provided an importunity to design furniture and custom lighting.
