Daily Duties at El Paso Electric:
Working for El Paso Electric Co. in El Paso TX. Embedded with plant mechanics in an outage on unit 8 at Rio Grande Power Plant, and an emergency outage at the Newman Power Plant. Duties included boiler pre-heater removal and overhaul, boiler feed pump overhaul, removal and replacement of valves, removal and replacement of bad stem on turbine control valve, removal and cleaning of hydrogen coolers, oil change of gearboxes for various oil and water supply pumping systems, and clearance and contact checks on rotor bearings, steam glands, and oil seals.
