Daily Duties at Arvin Meritor, Inc.:
Senior Quality Manager - Responsible to the Director of Quality for design, implementation and the converting of the old QS-9000 quality system to a new TS-16949 quality management system, overseeing and directing the quality staff, interfacing as company liaison with suppliers and customers, development of quality procedures and manuals, development and implementation of Supplier Quality Development systems, implementation of standards, methods, metrics and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products and managing TQM systems and Continuous Improvement activities. Negotiated with all suppliers for the placement of bar codes on all major components and designed a computerized inspection process using Clear Orbit XQC system. Implementation of the QMR Team which reduced the amount of customer defects from > 6% to < 3% PPM and internal scrap by over $1.8M.
