Daily Duties at Bechtel Construction Co.:
Working as a Foreman for Bechtel in the construction of a new Coal Fire unit at Springerville Generating Station ( Unit 3 ), in Springerville Az. Working as a millwright in the installation of mechanical systems crucial to the operation of the Unit, my work scope included; Setting of machinery such as Coal Pulverizers, Drag Chain Conveyors for Bottom Ash removal and Coal handling functions. Lime Slurry Systems, Induced Draft, Primary Air, and Forced Draft Fans, Boiler Feed Pumps, Conveyors and Conveyor Motors. I was also part of the Start-up crew responsible for ensuring proper function of these systems. In addition I was involved in the Turbine Oil flush procedure on the Mitsubishi 450 MW turbine and generator.
