Daily Duties at Wood Group Fiels Services Inc.:

Wet Gas Compressor overhaul at Western Refinery in El Paso, TX. Removed Compressor, Changed lube oil and seal oil filters. Installed new oil in lube oil reservoir. Fabricated jumpers to flush oil. Disassembly of Compressor including removal of top half casing, removal of inlet guide vane,rotor, lower half balance piston seal and diffuser. Bead blasted barrel and diaphragms, and installed upper and lower half packing box labyrinth seals. Re-installed and aligned to dimensions taken on disassembly. After outage, I was dispatched to a four day overhaul at Cunningham Station in Hobbs New Mexico to change out the Turning Gear Box on a Siemens 110 mw Cumbustion Turbine.
