Daily Duties at Wavetech, Inc., :

• Installing Linksys wireless access routers between different locations. Configuring wireless bridging between locations with IEEE802.11b. • Design and implement campus switch network with Cisco Layer 3 switches (3750, 4500, 6500) in multi VLANs environment and inter-VLAN routing, HSRP, ISL trunk, ether channel.. • Configuring routers with IPv4 routing protocols RIP, EIGRP, OSPF. • Worked on BGP configuration for providing redundant internet connectivity using BGP attributes, Route maps, prefix-lists etc. • Configured and Maintained BGP features such as load balancing, Route Reflectors, BGP metrics such as MED, AS Path, Local Preference, Communities. • Configuring NAT for internet access for the LAN. Implementation of name resolution using WINS and DNS for TCP/IP environment. • Extensively worked on Network management using SSH, Telnet, SNMP, and ICMP. • Worked on sniffer tool such as wireshark . • Setup TFTP server to maintain CISCO router configurations and CISCO images. Worked on network software and hardware upgrades. • Configuring and maintaining TACACS+ servers for AAA authentication and user authorization. • Worked with FWSM, VPN concentrator, PIX and ASA firewall • Worked with Cisco NX-OS HA ,provided physical and software redundancy at every component level, spanning across the physical, environmental, power, and system software aspects of its architecture. • Worked on WAN connectivity between CISCO routers using T1, T3, Frame relay and troubleshooting connectivity issues. • Worked extensively testing L2 and L3 protocols like BGP, OSPF, MPLS, STP, PAGP, and LACP. • Extensively worked on creating security Policies and implementation plans for an improved Security solution. • Installation and configuration of CISCO VPN concentrators 3000 for VPN tunnel and implementation of SDM for IPSec VPN. • Installation and Implementation of CISCO Call Manager, IP phones and L2 switches for providing VOIP. Implementing Voice VLANs, Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP), SIP, SSCP, H323, RTP, and RTCP and provide QOS by DSCP and IP Precedence. • Configured Call Manager Express (CME) to the PSTN and Cisco Unity Express (CUE). • Install and maintain a voice interface card in the CPE router at each VoIP Site. • Testing and migrating locations from hub and spoke topology to MPLS. • Writing and execution of test plan, conduct test plan review, testing schedule. • Worked on Firewall logging, DMZ’s and related security polices and monitoring. • Deploying Layer 2 security in Server Farms by configuring switch for 802.1x port based authentication
