Daily Duties at Us Army Reserve:

Serve as planning and Operations Officer for a logistics support Combat Service Support Training Battalion within USAR 157th Infantry Brigade. Provide training readiness oversight and mobilization support to Army Reserve and National Guard units within an assigned area of responsibility. Assist the Battalion Commander in planning, conducting, and evaluating all of the unit’s internal training and external support, to ensure that the overall operation, training, and production of each unit are effectively accomplished. Conduct analyses to identify the efficiency of operations; prepare key management tools including; long range training plans, annual training guidance, safety policies, mission essential task list development, battalion operation plans and orders. Oversee the execution of the Annual Training support plan, Inactive duty training and active duty man-days to ensure mission requirements and annual training requirements are met. Plan and execute the training scenarios for over 500 National Guardsmen and Army Reserve soldiers during mobilization at Camp Shelby in Hattiesburg, MS for deployment to war zone. Develop formal policies and plans to provide training opportunities for the staff. In conjunction with the Commander, responsible for the technical processes of budget formulation, review and execution;established a budget for external and internal training. Monitor supervisory potential of staff: I created a policy of allowing staff members to rotate through vacant senior supervisory positions in order for them to gain experience. Administer our Battalion Christmas fund resources with emphasis on celebrating family. Explain budget limitations, prepare reports, and provide functional guidance and training.
