Daily Duties at Sc Department Of Revenue:
As a senior auditor, assisting management and auditors on reviewing accounting systems; prescribing accounting standards, policies, and examining, analyzing, and interpreting accounting data, records, and reports; advising and assisting management on accounting and financial management matters. Conducting highly complex audit reviews involving computer-assisted audit techniques, statistical sampling, and compliance agreement audits. Perform analysis to identify the efficiency of operations assuring results and make recommendations based on accounting information. Lead our field audit staff in conducting accounting reviews to verify the accuracy of returns filed; financial management compliance using standard accounting information systems. Prepare delinquent returns when none are filed and insure compliance with policy laws for Corporate and license over site tax reviews. Conduct research on policies, regulations, and procedures to include code of laws, policy documents, and Internal Revenue Code.
