Daily Duties at Tark's Grill:

Orienting, training assigning and coaching employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures. Achieves restaurant operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; determining improvements; implementing change. Meets restaurant staff objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual server meeting; analyzing wait staff comments, concerns; initiating corrective actions. Plan menus by consulting with general manager, chefs; estimates glassware and wait staff uniform costs. Cost control by reviewing portion control and quantities of order; minimizing waste; ensuring high quality of service. Maximizes restaurant and front of the house profitability by ensuring proper TIP OUT controls; monitoring accuracy of charges by reporting to manager on duty. Encouraging local businesses to hold social events at the restaurant. Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. Maintaining ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, linen service, glassware, dinnerware, and utensil quality and placement. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications
