Daily Duties at Microsoft:

Hardware Engineer – Xbox360 Product Engineering Team In a newly-formed team within the organization, I helped pioneer end-to-end failure investigation and analysis by developing technical debug processes and consistent data collection. I then scaled the organization by leading a local lab team and international support staff through this failure investigation process. With the data collected, I analyzed trends, proposed solutions, and summarized findings for upper-management reporting.

What they like about Microsoft:

You highly value a work environment built on a formal structure, rules, and regulations. You do not enjoy the unpredictability of shifting priorities and deadlines that upset your routine. You require and enjoy direction, input and accountability as part of your work environment. You have a strong need to participate in making key decisions and feel left out if your superiors or co-workers do not seek your input when making decisions. You thrive on providing good customer service to both internal or external customers, and doing so makes you feel good.

Climbers who worked at Microsoft had these interests:

Books
The Templar Legacy: A Novel Written by Steve Berry, this is a great novel that kept a great action pace while keeping my intelligent side curious about how things unfold. Pure pleasure reading.
A Tale of Two Cities I've heard this Dickens novel referenced in so many movies and TV shows that I decided I have to read it. It's a challenging read which now makes me want to conquer it.
Magazines
Mac Life I read this partly because I'm a fan of Apple's computing products and partly because it helps me understand some of what consumers like.
