Daily Duties at Kohl's Department Stores:

•Plan and implement in-store marketing programs such as Kohl’s VCP (Valued Community Partners), responsible for maintaining existing business partners while obtaining new contacts, communicate opportunities and share successes with regional partners, measure results (month-to-date and year-to-date) to monitor progress, and produce and execute new plans to meet the company goals. •Responsible for seventy percent of the store’s inventory and business by preparing and executing merchandising directives, monitoring each department’s sales and inventory flow, efficiently communicating business needs to buyers and department analysts, and making precise and appropriate decisions based on my knowledge of what will drive my store’s business. •Lead teams of associates through a wide range of tasks required to maintain daily operations and presentational standards, train new associates and update existing team members on the latest company initiatives and procedures (including software); develop associate team cohesion with daily, weekly, one-on-one or group meetings. •Partner with my team members to identify the store’s successes, challenges and solutions especially in areas that directly impact our sales and market share, such as Kohl’s accounts, customer service surveys, and email solicitation. •Responsible for establishing a comfortable environment for associates and customers by communicating priorities to my team, monitoring and tracking team productivity, recognizing accomplishments and providing effective feedback when necessary.
