• Installed and upgraded databases and applications from SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005, Analysis Services 2000 to Analysis Services 2005,DTS 2000 to Integration Services 2005, and Visual Studio software versions • Clarified client requirements, business needs, and project objectives, via feedback sessions and client meetings, in collaboration with all stakeholders • Managed Analysis Services projects related to the Business Intelligence department • Created high level reporting for Executive Management, Enterprise Wide Risk Management, Underwriting, Marketing, Investments, and the Safety departments, utilizing Analysis Services cubes through a web based intranet portal • Modified and developed databases, tables, indexes, triggers, functions, stored procedures, and workflow procedures for Sarbanes Oxley compliance • Developed and implemented backup and recovery plans, security roles, and security audits • Monitored database events, nightly jobs, and corrected failures • Implemented and followed configuration management plans and build release processes to ensure high availability for numerous production databases and applications • Utilized scripting languages, automation tools, notification services, and SSIS packages to automate processes • Worked closely with system administration to provide support for back-end databases, IIS services, systems configuration, and application development • Aided in the migration from FOXPRO to SQL Server 2000 project for high hazard insurance applications • Directed, evaluated, reviewed, and managed database resources and services across the organization • Developed and implemented database policies and procedures to ensure integrity and availability of databases and maintain disk space requirements • Designed, installed, monitored, maintained, and tuned development, pre-production, and production databases when required • Assisted with the establishment and enforcement of policies and procedures related to the database, including data security and integrity controls, database risk management, backup and recovery • Proficient with T-SQL and DTS to automate processes and build reports • Other duties included database software and assurance build release engineering, and administration and development for the document management Vignette system
