Daily Duties at Armstrong World Industries:

1) Design the Project Life Cycle (PLC) and ensure that the PLC and its templates are aligned to current best practices while maintaining project efficiencies; PLC covers policies and procedures for projects in initiation, planning, execution, and closure stages 2)Govern and instruct in the use of all PLC templates, including project chartering, business requirements documentation, risk analysis, and project status 3)Provide proactive leadership and deliver instructions to project managers on the proper usage of PLC templates 4)Closely monitor all IT projects from planning through execution stages and regulate issues to avoid over-budget and/or over-schedule occurrences 5)Facilitate structured instructional sessions to project managers on the use of PLC and PPM tool (Clarity) in support of the PLC 6)Oversee all facets of highly complex projects to deliver significant benefits and savings to the company 7)Implemented and direct the Project Managers Community of Practices where all IT project managers are able to share and learn best practices and experiences from others. 8)Spearheading efforts to align our PPM tool with current best practices and IT requirements including development of Resource Planning, and Portfolio and Program Management 9)Leading energies to streamline our PLC process and also SOW process. Forecast a 10% reduction in cycle time in project development when completed
