Daily Duties at United States Air Force:
• Responsible for flight line inspections and troubleshooting on the C141, C5 and C130 military aircraft and helicopters with their respective engines. • Performed Isochronal and calendar inspection & APU inspections on T56, TF33, TF39 engines, as well as Pilots debriefing and trend Monitoring Checks (standard conditions to analyze engine's performance). • Inspected and reported discrepancies to different shops; initiated efforts to correct problems. • Gathered information to upgrade maintenance. • Met quarterly with aircraft manufacturers to improve maintenance procedures, assuring mission readiness. • Authorized aircraft back to flight status (airworthiness) after repair, overhaul or regularly scheduled maintenance. Accomplishments • Broke record for swiftest promotion to Crew Chief in Air Force history (3 ranks / 5 years early).
