Daily Duties at Tapemark Company:
Responsible for strategic, routine, and preventive maintenance of five manufacturing facilities. Actively managed maintenance department including mechanics, production electrical technicians, machinists, assemblers, and supporting mechanical engineers. Implemented and maintained Lean Manufacturing processes including JIT and 5S. Responsible for production equipment, including developing and designing equipment, and researching and requesting proposals for large equipment purchases. Upgraded and revamped plants and supporting equipment to meet production and customer demands. Developed, designed, and enhanced production lines. Decreased mechanical parts inventory by 45%. Decreased payroll overtime by 72%. Decreased overall maintenance budget by 40% in 2001, an additional 12% in 2002, and maintained the reduced budget in 2003 and 2004. Participated in FDA and ISO Internal Audit and implementation teams Achieved Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate and was a team member and designer of Six Sigma projects.
